About me

Soore Vahe was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1991. Her art career has begun with her passion for theater. It led Soore to study art and get her BA at the University of Tehran (Faculty of Fine Arts) for Education in Theatre, focusing on puppet theater. Her early theater works were narrations of human emotions, represented by the forms that act instead of them to reveal the complexity of human feelings. While the student's festivals praised her theatrical work, Soore'interests in photography surprisingly has been growing to a new level. Her first works as a photographer were in cinema and theater photography.Early life and education

Soore considered photography a medium that led us to a better understanding and deeper contemplation as a personal motive. She decided to picture the different human cultures and their effects on women and society. Local communities shape society; each has a diverse cultural concept of women. These concepts define them and, more than that, how they define their personality as a part of their community.Passion for photography

Iran has a variety of different cultures. These diversities in their views, definitions of freedom or suppressions, costumes, and even their hopes or dreams fascinate Soore. She travels through Iran and takes photos of them to find their ways of looking at the world around them. After a while, Soore found herself captured in their eyes. Photography has become a spiritual adventure for her to discover these capturing eyes as the most honest reflection of humanity and herself. This mutual relationship between her and her photos is a burden on her shoulders, sometimes light and sometimes unbearable.Discovering Diversities
